We have been in operation on our ranch since 1983. We have a family history in the guiding industry that dates back to the 1960s. We are proud of our reputation for quality fair chase hunts. In hunting there are few guarantees. One guarantee that Bar-K Ranch will make is that you will get an honest, hard working, quality, fair chase hunt. We can also guarantee plentiful delicious home cooked meals.

Rifle Seasons | |
The Colorado Division of Wildlife has created a quality limited first rifle season. We highly encourage anyone considering a rifle hunt to apply for this license.
Our rifle success rates have averaged 35-50% over a 20 year period with some years as high as 100%. Although this is an exception, we do average over 75% shooting opportunity on a yearly basis. We highly recommend that you ‘practice’ shooting on a regular basis and also be in the best physical condition as possible as this increases your enjoyment and chances for success. Rifle hunts are five days and based on two humters pre guide with options for 3 hunters per guide. One hunter per guide also available. Rifle Hunt Checklist | |

Archery Hunting | |
Hunt Elk during the rut in the beautiful fall colors of the Colorado high country in September. This is a great time of year to be hunting as the weather is generally mild, the scenery spectacular and the elk are bugling. Archery hunting is our specialty. All archery guides are experienced archery hunters. We use a variety of methods to hunt elk this time of year including stand hunting, still hunting and calling. Archery hunts are five days one guide to two hunters. Archery licenses are available over the counter. | |

Deer Hunting | |
Deer Hunting is by application only in the state of Colorado. Applications are due in early April.
We also have a limited number of landowner vouchers which are available on a first come, first serve basis. The quality of deer hunting has improved drastically since the Colorado Division of Wildlife started the limited licenses program five years ago. | |
